Charleston Hotel Tour

With all the hurricane/power outage craziness around here,
I never got around to telling you about my recent trip
to Charleston, SC!

Today, I will post pictures from where we stayed;

I will start with the lobby since
we just loved the sitting area so much.
Couldn't you just live in there?

The space had wonderful natural light.

And a ridiculous supply of M&Ms!
(Note - for "some reason" there were much fewer when we checked out!)

I just loved the shutters!

And like I said,
the lobby was a great place to sit!

Here is the view looking towards the stairs.

We enjoyed passing this map and lantern
as we headed down the stairs each day.

Here was our room.
Unfortunately, we did not have much of a view.
We joked that it was because we cancelled and re-booked the room so many times.
Originally, more of us were going but the hurricane changed some plans!

The beds were Tempur-Pedic and we were quite excited to try them.
They were much different than my firm mattress at home
but I did sleep pretty well.
Then again, with all the walking around,
I could have fallen asleep on a bed of nails!

The neutral bathroom was immaculate
 and obviously well maintained.

Since the weather was so gorgeous,
we had our continental breakfast delivered up to the rooftop terrace.

Early morning views...
Such a beautiful street.

It was just so nice to eat outside in November!

Here is the exterior of the hotel.

And you can see how happy I was to be on vacation!
(Just having power was a luxury to me that weekend!)

I would definitely recommend the
Harbourview Inn to anyone staying in Charleston!
In addition to the beautiful rooms and rooftop,
the location was perfect for walking around town!

It was a wonderful (long overdue) girls weekend.
Charleston is such a charming city and
I loved it even more than I expected.

Tomorrow, I will post some pictures
of the gorgeous homes around town!

Have you been to Charleston?

  9. It's nice to stay in a hotel from time to time. I love looking at decorations when I go. But I also love the pillows, they're so cuddley. We stayed in Charleston once but it's been a while. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay.

  13. Charleston SC is my all time favorite getaway city. I love the beauty and charm of CHAS and my husband and I have stayed at the Harborview Inn several times. If you have a chance in the future, visit in late Sept or Oct and take the Candlelight Tours sponsored by the Preservation Society.
