Charleston Homes

Yesterday, I wrote about the hotel we stayed in.
Today, I will show you some exteriors of
some of the magnificent homes in the city of Charleston.

For those of you who have been to Charleston,
you know that the houses are breathtaking!

There is no possible way that I could have chosen one favorite.

Not that I could afford to buy one...

But I can dream!

I loved the pastel colors of the houses.

Seriously, how fabulous would it be to live on this street?

I couldn't get enough of the architecture and the stunning porches.

I loved the homes with the multi-level side porches.
I swear I would be out there sipping tea all day...
(or margaritas!)

The front door to many of the homes appeared to go directly inside...

But then we noticed the door actually opened to the lower porch.
Elegant yet casual at the same time.

And how inviting is this entrance!

How welcoming is this one?

So attractive.

Oh, hello little dog!

We toured the Calhoun Mansion.
No cameras were allowed inside.
but you can tour the house HERE.

The grounds were impressive.

And once again - the charming porches.

It was a lovely day to spend outside!

We just couldn't get over how many spectacular homes
lined the historic streets.
Charleston really is as beautiful as you have heard.
Put this city on your list!

What cities have you fallen in love with?

  4. Oh how I love Charleston! I was lucky enough to have lived there for four wonderful years in college. I used to run past most of those houses, along the Battery, every day! Beautiful.
